I have a 2000 Scag 61" STHM 3-wheeler. For some reason it is much stronger/faster in reverse than going forward. Where should I begin looking to track down this issue?

Ill try to explain this the best i can so bear with me

Under the foot pedal for the forward and reverse there is a bar
that runs under the deck ..Follow that bar , there is a bolt that holds
this bar in a stable position ..its about a 9/16 half inch deep bolt....

I bet that bolt fell out or is very loose ...Lemme know :)

Excellent. Yes that's what it was but, it wasn't the bolt. The rod needed to be adjusted because it wasn't pulling the rod back all the way when the pedal was fully depressed. It's much faster now. :) Thanks for the lead.
