If you look close, that's a head popping out of the egg. That's always the most exciting part!! (for me anyway! LOL!)

P.S. The black round thing is a humidity gauge.

Nice! I want to get back into snakes but the wifey's scared of them. She's even scared of freaking garter snakes!. i had two Boas. One 7 foot common boa and one 5 foot TRUE columbian red tail boa. Now I just have a bearded dragon and Piranhas.

My wife doesn't like to touch them, but she doesn't care if I have them.

I had a few Boas myelf, including an albino male that I had bought to breed to a couple females, but ended up trading them (and most of my snakes) for about 50 Leopard geckos for breeding.

Right now I don't have anything because we just don't have the room at our current place. But eventually, I'l get back into them.

Here's one that I had back in the earlier days:

Does your wife know you refer to her and her side of the family that way? Maybe she likes the way her facial hair keeps her warm in the winter?

Thanks Garden Panzer. These are actually older pics. From about 6 or 7 years ago. I currently don't keep any reptiles just because I don't have the space where I'm living right now. I will eventually get back into though.
Here's a pic of some of the snakes out of the eggs:
