i went to a family friends house and saw a real nice pond and waterfall in thre front yard. i just wanna know if i have never even looked into somethign like this where would i start? price range? how long does a task like this take his was pretty large im looking a a small- med size one. can they be built this time of year or wait till weather is warmer in spriong

Pond construction season is whenever the ground isn't frozen. If you can dig-it's perfect time.
Price for construction will depend on what company you use, size etc.
Ballpark, figure on in the neighborhood of $2000 for pond supplies (not rock material).

That is why in retail terms these things sell for so much. A typical backyard water garden will have $2000 in materials, $2000 in stone, & $2500 in labor.

im making this myself. they guys house i was out said it cost him 2000 and he sells them for 8000. it was a good 10 -15 feet wide and a few feet deep and the waterfall was maybe 6 or 7 feet up.. i want to make a small one just for fun and if it turns out easy will start advertising for them
