gear trouble

i have a 36"snapper geardrive walkbehind.
when i am mowing and im in 4th gear and go to 5th gear the
mower feels like 5th is the same as 4th is something wrong?
it does feel like it went in 5th .but its no faster than
4th.this warrenty is just about over .

Take it back to the dealer if your under warranty. If not if it still runs ok in 4th keep cutting you only use 5th for travel.
