I honestly didn't think I was going to have any problem finding green 50 gallon ( or whatever they are) landscaping barrels, but I am. I can't find them anywhere around me. Does anyone know of a website that I can buy these from?

Did you already check with your local landscape suppliers?
There are mail order suppliers that sell them, but shipping may be more then you want to pay.

Lowes has some heavy duty grey cans. I think they are 45 gallon.

Search your local Craigslist for "plastic barrel" Make sure to get a 55 gallon, blue one and not the white ones. The blue ones are a better grade plastic and the UV light doesn't break them down and make them brittle.

Then take a circular saw and cut the top off. After that, then drill two small holes on each side near the top for you to insert a short section of rope or nylon strapping to use for handles. Just tie the ends on the inside of of it and your done. All for about 20-25 dollars. That's what they go for locally...
in the end, you got a heavy duty trash can with a bottom that's gonna take a lot of dragging around when it get too heavy. :weightlifter:

Try manufacturing factories for used ones
