Hey Everyone, I have been doing lawncare part time for about 2 years. I do only resedential yards only. I work at Kennedy Space Center but my son gets out of the Navy in about a year so we want to grow our business.
I am getting licensed and insured In Jan 2005 so now I have to pick a name for our business. I would love to hear some suggestions for our new venture. I haven't been able to nail anything down at all yet.

My Name is Joe and my sons name is John

Kennedy Center Lawn Care?

We are a father & Son partnership, TJ started the business. We market son TJ with his photo & name (Young & better looking) because we believe customers feel good about during business with a person, not a name. Even though we have over 2000 customers, & TJ has met few of them, they still affectionately ask for TJ when calling the office.

Our other thought about a name, which many do not agree, is to not include in the name Best, Quality, fast, golden, or any word that will come back to bite you someday. Also, mission statements that say "We want to earn Your business" or "we care" place you in a kneeling position.

what about; Double J's Mega Space Shuttle Military Style Landscaping Service or something more simple like J&J Landscaping.

Give me your 02 36" hydro and I'll come up with a killer name for ya.

BTW, my parents lived on Cocoa Beach for a while. Kennedy Space Center was the best tourist visit of our trip. That big ol Saturn rocket hangin' from the ceiling was soooo cool. I can't imagine strappin my ass on the top of that thing and blasting off. Talk about brass balls! ;)

Joe and John's Kennedy Space Center Part-Time Residential Only Naval Lawncare.... :p

Joe Kennedy and his Son John Kennedy's Presidential Lawn Care....sorry had to play on those

I have found that "fancy" names don't really make any difference so probably as some else said J&J Lawn Care....but check and make sure someone doesn't alreday have it.

I've always thought it was cool to see names that use your last name with - and son behind it.

Smith and son Lawnscapes
Martin and sons Landscaping
etc, etc....

J&J lawn care or joes lawn care is just too dull. try to stay away from your initials or first names choose a name that stands out above the competition, because the last thing you want is to appear average
