Yep took the plunge and got it. WOW it is awsome. I used it all today, it way out blows the old stihl, i shaved a good amount of time off cleanups.

Cant wait to get several tanks run thought it to get full power out of it!

I would post a pic, but i think you all know what they look like.

"I'm lovin it" :cool2: :cool2: :cool2:

Glad to hear you like it. If I get the mowing contract for the county schools i will be getting a new Echo blower. Probibly a PB 603 or a PB 651. Thats only if i get the contract. It is my first time bidding so I hope I get it.

Eric, good luck with it & may it serve you well for many, many more years.

Question did you look at Red Max?? The reason I ask is because I have a 650 and I like it and all but it's a b*tch to start in the colder weather so I'm trying to decide if I want to sell it and up grade to a 7001 or mabey the 8000.

BTW just have to add #400 for me LOL

So little difference in the 7001 and the Echo i could not tell enough to matter. Both were the same price.I bout it because it was from the same dealer as my mower and he has treated me well.

Mine has been starting in 1-2 pulls.

How old is it, maybe have them look at it, most likely a mis-adjusted carb or bad plug.

The RM8000 is A Huge Jump in Power over the 7001 & the Echo 650/750's...

Specs don't Nearly do This Beast Justice...Blows the 650/750 & 7001 Away...The Likely Spec'd it Low to keep the 7001's flying out the Door & We'll See a real indication of the 8000's Numbers when the 8001 is introduced & the 7001's are Gone.

It's a Monster.

Well I did have it in the shop once it seemed fine at first but,its not the starting part thats hard or a PITA if you will it's that I have to play with the d@mn choke to get it warm enought so that it won't try to stall at full power. As for how old it is it's an '02 model so it's about 2 years old.

650/750 Should Start Flawlessly Cold...Has a Primer/Choke...RM just a Choke.
