Got to see a new Encore Prowler mow today! One of the all red versions, I was pleasantly suprised at the cut quality! Very Good. Has anyone else seen the new model?

We have several dealers around here but none of them stock the Encore's. Its like they don't want to worry with selling them.

Hey Wrebel,
Didn't you have one of those American Blade Runner machines? Do you still have it, and how has it performed? What is the latest on that company? I wonder if they will get back into production?

Mowingman Yes I actually have two of them. They have been great productive machines. They are the fastest of all the mowers. The downfall of them is there new owners! They are P***k's and even though I would like to own one of there new cummins powered machines I will not deal with them. I think that they lost most of there dealers or at least here in this area. I still talk to the guy who invented them he is Great!! I hope that he will start producing another machine, but so far he seems content in what he is doing. He probably had to sign a no compete.

Thanks. I was just curious. So, it sounds like they are back in limited production, with a very limited distribution network.

Yeah... I tried to tell you guys about these new Encore mowers a while back. I saw the prototypes in my area some time ago. I saw the production models and met the Encore people at GIE earlier this month.

I looked at one of these last week! I must say it sure looks impressive! Built very well and has a good warranty to back it along with a very good dealer here. The encore line might revive itself in this area!

I wish they would revive around here. We have several dealers but none of them stock Encore's. Maybe that will change sometime in the future.

I don't know wh they don't update their site so you guys can see the new mowers there. I guess the update probably is not scheduled until '05. I'll see if I can come up with anything....

Here is an image of the new Prowler. Lousy image, but the best I can do.

Thanks for that picture Envy. That mower does look a little different than the ones on their website. It has more red paint on it or something.

Yeah, that one has more red paint, more options, different deck lift, different seats, different tanks, and most of all, a much heavier build.

But the production model shown still is not as heavily built as the prototypes I saw before.

The ones that I looked at did not have a foot deck lift on them! But otherwise they sure look like the picture!

Encore has several new changes on all there ZTR's plus one brand new unit, the 23/52 Extreme. But all in all I gotta say, I bet this Prowler really follows the ground contours well with that articulating deck design.

I'd say it does do a good job with that articulating deck and it probibly has a little smoother ride than the fixed frame machines with decks hanging from chains.

How are these priced and ranked quality wise against a comparable exmark? I'll be making a purchase soon and appreciate your input. I like the looks of the above unit.

I was told at GIE that you can get this unit for at or less than a 60" or 72" eXmark.
Fluctuation depending on engine choice and your local pricing.
Seems they told me a retail of $8,100 for the liquid cooled....

Thanks Envy. Good info. Looks like I have a local dealer according to their website. Will call tomorrow to confirm and report any further news.
