View Full Version : Hand Lenses for ID
I need to buy some good hand lenses for pest ID, fungus, disease etc. Does anyone have any recommendations on what they use, power of lens, suppliers etc.

I have a folding double lens in a pouch on my toolbelt, a 15X and 20X lens. I have a 30X lighted scope in my toolkit, another one at the office. I also have a few regular magnifying glasses in different strengths. I have pcked them up at the dollar store, tool store, hobbyist store and at forestry supply, anywhere from $2 to $60 for the lighted ones.

I've bought some cheap ones and thrown them away. I bought a Swift for the college ID classes I took and have been very happy with it. The cheap ones don't focus on the edges for me, but the Swift 10X has a clear view for the whole lens.
