Has anyone tried the Proslide, if so please advise. How does it stack-up to a velke?

I have a Velke on my Wb and I have tried a Pro-Slide. Personally I prefer the Pro-Slide. The ride is much smoother and you never have to bend over to fold it up, just step off and it folds it self up. You never have to worry about a flat tire either.

I prefer the proslide. It folds up out of the way automatically and you don't have to worry about jack-knifing, also.

We use rocket wheels instead of the velke and have eliminated the potential for "jack-knifeing".

When I was in Charolette over the summer I saw alot of guys down there using what I believe to be the pro slide.

Hope this helps some.

I've got a Pro-slide and love it. Never used a Velkie but I wouldn't even consider one after the slider.

i was at a hospital looking out the window and was amazed
at how nice the stripes looked i kept wondering what kind
of mower they used. about a week later i drove by and i saw
the pro slide for the first time thats how those stripes got there .if my wb was a hydro i would buy proslide that
guy on that was going just as fast as any velkie.

Toro just came out with a knew velkie- no more jack knife
Am trying to find price on it.

I've never used a pro-slide but heard on hills, they might dig in the ground. Also if your a little heavy. This is just what I heard

What is considered a "little" heavy :) The pro slides are nice although you can't back up with them. And you can't go over drives, pavement with them. Well you can but they won't last that long. They are nice though, no bending over to fold it up and add to the stripes.

Here is their website....it was down for a while, but is back up now. http://www.novaecorp.com/

I bought one last year for my 52" Scag Hydro and it is amazing!!! From what I've heard on the forum if you're a bigger person say over 200 lbs. and you aren't running a hydro drive unit then you might want to look into a wheeled sulky as the weight might burn up your gears.

i have both the proslide and velky.

velke: cons: if you jackknife alot the middle grease fitting on the pivot point will break off due do the outside lip being pushed in. cost was about $225 plus tax for one wheel version. you also have to live with the little line going down the middle of your stripe.

proslide: cons: first and foremost very rough on the knees, and don't even think about trying to go down hill. that little sticker that says sudden retraction may occur is right on the money, but doesn't say to put on a cup to protect the boys from handlebars when attempting a downhill manuver. Only problems we had was the air shock/spring broke with approximately two weeks use, and i had a hard time getting a new one from the dealer, but it was mostly dealers fault. cost was i believe $325, or so last summer.

i would recommend the proslide, it rides much better, and is a hundred times more comfortable to use.

From information I have found out today, the cost is $329.00 installed. They can be found at any Huskvarna Dealer.
