Welp,
I heard good things about exmark mowers and I've decided to purchase a 32" exmark mower as my beginner walker mower... I was wondering, what would you guys @ exmark suggest?
I was looking at the belt / hydro metro models, whatever model you have availble in the 32" model series??
I am from Vancouver, BC, Canada..

Alpine,
We currently only offer the 32" deck on a metro belt drive model. The 32" Viking hydro simply did not sell well enough to survive.
I used a 32" metro for several years and my dad now uses it on his place. The machine performed flawlessly. It was an unbelieveable mulching mower. Mine was an old pistol grip model very similar to what we offer today. I would be temped to step up to the 36" however just to get the ECS controls.
Thanks

Terry,
Does the 32 use the same engine deck as the 36 just with narrower wheels/tires or is the engine deck narrower also?

Terry, why dont you guys have a rider 34 or 36"?
Gravely has a 34" rider that goes into smaller gates.

Dishboy,
The 32" uses the 15 hp Kawasaki twin. This is also the most popular engine on the 36 however you can also opt for the 15 hp Kohler on the 36. The engine decks are the same however the 32" has a narrower drive tire and single wide drive belts. The 36" has a wider drive tire and double wide drive belts.
Thanks

Petrenz,
That's a good question! Do we need a 34" rider?

Terry,
A narrow rider, definitely. Just demo'd the Navigator this morning in London, Ontario. Awesome machine, now just make it fit through a 38" opening and I'll buy 2. Problem is lots of large homes have pools and pools mean fences and fences mean gates, thus guys end up cutting large backyards with push/walkbehind mowers. Otherwise keep up the great work at Exmark.
Alpine,
I have a 36 metro and absolutely love it, almost bought the viking but the metro works just fine. You'll be happy with anything Exmark.

Anything you need to cut w/a 32" or 36" can generally be cut Better & Faster w/a Hydro Walk...I wouldn't Worry about a 34" Rider.

Terry,
I really think you should offer it. I dont know where it will stand as far as pricing it, since you already have the Viking, the Belt and Hydro drive, the floating and fixed decks, but i would think that plenty of people would get it just to fit into smaller properties.
I mean, with people buying houses like crazy and sub divisions being build all over the place, the lots will only get smaller to accomodate those houses.
just yesterday i went to give a quote for a fall cleanup, and i saw that there were 2, 36" gates on on each side of the house. Since i have a 44", i declined the job. We forgot to ask the client that question when he called.
Maybe it would be too expensive for a first time buyer (starter). But when you are bigger and have one like mine already, you can have two mowers (one in the front, one back - small gate) that you can be done with in like 30 seconds.
I guess, i am not really sure if i am the only one wanting it, or other contractors have asked themselves (and you) the same question.

will the Nav have interchangable decks or run what you buy (either the 42 or 48)? if anyone is that serious about using a 34" rider, test gravely's, it's very touchy and hills are just scary. not knocking brand G, just the physics of that small of a midmount.
now if the decks are interchangable on the navigator and a 36" deck is an option... see where i'm headed with this? of course i guess this would depend on the outside tire to tire width also.

s & s,
You did right by getting the kohler.
On my 6 month old 36" viking I have had nothing but problems with the new kawasaki engine.
Now my hydro system has sprung a leak somewhere. Thank God for warranties.
When its not at the dealer its a great mower!

Mike,
When we began developing the Nav one of our concerns was stability. Consequently the footpring of the Nav will not allow a 36" deck. Drive tire to drive tire (outside edges) is about 44".
Thanks
Terry
