Fifty dollars from one of my favorite customers. One that can least afford it. Plan on taking the money and getting them a new porch swing. These people are worth doing almost for free. Even get cards from thier kids. ( Mid 60s)

I did that last year with my best residential and a few of my comm. customers. I think it stays with them that you take the time to do something like that. :D :D :D :D

I haven't ever recieved anything. I sent cards out to show my appreciation for their business though. I think my customers see me as a local kid just hustlin for beer money. This year coming though, I'm gonna send a few flyer mid february to get the word out about more services. Im gonna wear a uniform too. This should help to look professional Right?

I was actually looking for a replica mini bobcat mower ornament. they don't send them. I read on a thread somewhere that even gifts for Valentines day and flags for the 4 of july. What about coupons for free service.

Well so far we've gotten a bunch of christmas cards, and about $70 in tips. One year I ended up having to do some snowplowing on Christmas day, boy did I ever get a haul of chocolates and even a six pack of beer. That sure made me feel better about working Christmas.

$100.00 from one customer, a couple of $20's from 2 others and 3 plates and one tin of christmas cookies! That's the only bonus to doing a few late clean-ups this past week, every few stops cookies would appear on the seat of my truck! Also received about 8 cards from customers, but i assume they feel oblogitaed as I sent all my customers cards a week and a half ago. Best gift would be the couple of deadbeats I have to pay me before the end of the year so I don't have to get a lawyer to collect!

I got a $10 spot this year. I charge to much to expect tips or presents. Do any of you give gifts to people that do service for you? I give to the mail carrier and to the trask guys. Business owners get nothing but my business.

I am in the same boat as Soupy. I don't know how all you guys get cash and presents from your clients like that, I mean that's great, but highly unlikely for us. I don't expect tips for me or anyone who works for me. I'll be happy if we have all of our outstanding receivables in by the close of the month.
