Today in a huge pile of leaves I sucked this up not knowing it was under there. Locked the impeller up immediately and melted the belt. I spent a few hours tearing it apart, getting this out, and putting it back together.

Its a childs rubber flip-flop. Since it is rubber it didn't cut up, it just lodged and shut my vac down.

Another view. After getting the vac unit opened up, it took some work to get this thing loose. :angry:

No, I didn't damage anything but loose a belt. So yes, there is a good side. I also lost 1/2 a day. Every year I hate leaves more and more.
