I have been told that the mower in those pics will be changed. An overwhelming number of dealers and potential buyers complained about the single 36" blade. The new mower should have 2 18" blades.

Richard, Thanks for clearing that up I was going to ask about the blade setup.

How do you guys think it will stack up against some of the other small area mowers out now?

what other mowers would you compare this to? that small gravely 34z? whatelse?I really like the idea of a dixie chopper being 36", for small yards, I wonder how fast it will mow at?

A for what other mowers to compare it to I would have to say in no order. Hustler(36" Super Z),Gravely(34Z)(As mentioned), Wright Stander(36") and lastly the new Cub Tank. It has a 48" deck that can fold to fit through a 36"wide gate. Also the new 32" stander

yes the actual deck is being changed and they dont have any pics of it. but instead of it being round it will be like the silver eagle mini 44" deck. Also the price is going to be like 4999-5300

Another mower to compare it to is the 34" Encore ztr's. The maximun ground speed is 8 mph and it will mow 2.3 acres per hour.

IMO the Dixie is better than both of them.

in reference to the speed question,

Chances are it will mow at Eighty Five mph just like every other dixie. :blob3: Thats their big thing, speed. Who really mows at 15 mph.

Who really mows at 15 mph.

You don't have to mow at 15 mph but it's nice to know that you can.

yea but hustlers can mow at 15 also so Dixie isnt "the worlds fastest lawn mower"

Travis Followell

They are thw worlds fastest lawnmower because they mounted a jet engine on one of their mowers in 1993 and went about 80 mph. That is the worlds fastest lawnmower.

You guys can be so lame. WHO cares. Look,, just get the mower you want, and do the job. Leave it alone. Lord its so frustrating.

I demo'd the 44" and it did an excellent job on bahai running 47 mph! :help:

It chunked the grass a full 3 rows away and didn't miss any grass. Too small for my needs but worth looking at if that's your niche.
