View Full Version : Lazer Beam the Geese

On the news tonight, a Bucks County(PA) pond has hired someone with a new way to get rid of Geese. It seems this pond has 17,000 Geese that stop there every night. They will scare them away with a lazer beam. They shine it on the Geese and its suppose to frighten them. Anyone else heard of this?

Speaking from experience, they won't even run from dogs! Unless the lazer is cooking some it won't work. If they loose some they'll
fall back and regroup. Mostly, I think they know they're protected and act accordingly.

I haven't heard of that one. Over here in Washington they finally ok'd it to start having local gov. starting killing those bastards. Over the past few years so many have taken over local beaches that their crap is contaminating the water to the point of being unsafe for human contact. Even if the laser works they will just go somewhere else I think they need to be put in check in the predator chain.

Canada Geese in PA are kept in check by having a yearly hunting season.

Couldn't you throw alka seltzer to them and they will eat it thinking it is a treat. Then when they fly away, they blow up in mid flight?

I'm sick I tell ya. People tell me this is true, too.

L1A1 SLR 7.62mm with the 30 round mag. This will make enough noise to frighten off the ones you don't hit.

I'll go with your solution. Let the tree-huggers buy expensive lazer beams, I would just buy shotgun shells!!
