Since their has not been a response are you saying that no one knows when these two new mowers will be for sale. Will they be for sale in the spring, summer,fall or ?.

It would nice to be totally honest and find out exactly when these machines will be available. If the factory doesn't know, OK, but let us know that. Some guy's are actually waiting to buy.

Hey PJ any idea when GateStar and TrimStar will for sale at dealer.

Don't need an exact date but at least what season and year?

Need to plan on a what WB to purchase before Feb 28 based on when these two are ready to sell.

They will not be available by February 28th, I do know this much.
I still have not been told a date that you will be able pick one up at a dealer.

I am on the verge of buying a Ferris 36" HydroWalk but would GREATLY prefer a Hustler Trimstar based on what I have read and seen here. How soon can we see/buy this machine? Are the model numbers and prices the same as you posted several months ago?

whats going on with these 2 mowers i want to take a look at one or both of them when i come back from iraq again in august. and was hoping the local dealer might have them in stock. if they are still not released what part of production/development are they in

Okay the last post was about a year ago. While cruising through Lawnsite I ran into the picture of the GateStar and I am very interested. Only a few hours ago I visited a Hustler/Cub Cadet dealer and took a look at the Z-Wing in Plainfield, Indiana.

The saleman made no mention of the GateStar so I assume it isn't shipping yet.

I have a couple of questions for PJ.

Will the GateStar ship this cutting season?

And how wide is it with the desk up?

The Z Wing is like 35.5 inches wide, if the GateStar is less it would be a great advantage.

No it will not ship this cutting season.
And I do not have a measurement, the unit is going through redesign, and I don't know what the final measurement will be until we have a approved prototype / production unit.

It sounds like you all are putting a lot of effort into the Gatestar, when it does ship it should be a great product.

The Gatestar has been promised it would come out every year since around 2002. It has gone to the proverbial long term R&D to be never seen again. :laugh: :laugh:

Still in R&D? Is this thing ever going to come out? I would buy it like crazy if it would come out and work...Any future plans for it or has it now been officially scrapped?:cry:

I wouldn't say its been scrapped but I know its on a long list of projects.
