If you are in need of a blade grinder this is a great deal, I was quoted $410 plus tax for the same model at a local dealer. I ordered my grinder from Travis today and he has great prices on blades, air filters, etc. He is a great person to do business with and we will be purchasing more parts in the future from him. :waving:

Do you have a pic of that unit? I am interested. I have a lot of odds and ends I need to buy for this coming year. What are the specs of that grinder?

I borrowed this pic, it is the 88-023 just like we are selling. We will be closed til Mon 27th, so use the online store to order. When you order the 88-023 grinder it shows $315, don't worry it will be charged to your CC at the sale price. Can't beat that price + free shipping! Happy Holidays from everyone here at Landscape Supply. :waving:

i never realized that i should sharpen my blade more than a few times a season. once i read about the grinder, did some research and found out that my dealer sells the same one for $408.

Called travis the same day and ordered it, as well as a few more things.

can't wait to get it and start using it.

I sorta expected that shipping would not be free. everything costs more when you live on the most isolated island chain in the world.

Wow, I paid $425 for my RBG. That Oregon looks like a really nice unit, and for an exellent price!

I have read that sometimes people can not sharpen all of the sharpened blade because the motor is to close to the blade(not enough room for the blade). Does anybody know if this is a problem with this model. Thanks

Current orders are going to be back ordered. I'm still trying to get a firm date on shipment. Should not be more than a couple of weeks. Please bare w/ me, as I have no control over the manufacture. Thanks

How does it differ from using a standard bench grinder?

Ok I am new to blade grinders, I have always used a bench or angle grinder. Does the blade mount to the sharpener and the stone cross it or just how does it work? can anyone tell me how it works?

alpine692003
12-31-2004, 02:29 PM
I think you put the blade's cutting tip against the blade and slide it across..

Its hard to explain!
