I was thinking of going with a used Redmax eb7000 - 200 mph and 529 CFM but now im thinking about spending a little more money and getting the eb7001 - 205 mph and 633 CFM. What do you guys think? The 7000 is about $225 and the 7001 is about $325 used, or should I buy new and get a warranty?
I have searched and read, just looking for somebody to say why and make me finalize whcih blower, thanks

Is it your only backpack?
If so, IMO get the new one with the warranty.

If you can afford it, get the 8000. The other two don't come close. Period

I did pick up a 8000 and it's real good. Glad I bought new as I have had some issues with it.
All warranty - design stuff.

I have a cheap backpack right now, wanted to get some real power!!!

Get a new one with the warranty, so if any problems, you are covered. I use the 7001, plenty of power and of course you can go with the 8000 if you have the cash. Good luck.

I'd go w/ RedMax 8000 if you want power.

What do you currently use?

[QUOTE=christoff]a shitty Homelite
Is there another kind?
I would come up with the extra $$ to get the new8000.

I picked up a new 8000 last week, couldn't be more happy with it. If I were to go buy another blower today I would buy the 8000 all over again.

I bought a redmax 8000 this fall for leaf cleanups and it is everything I could ask for. The only thing I found misleading was everyone saying that it had 943 CFM but that is really the measure without the tube. With the tube it is 688CFM. Still the most powerful back pack blower out there, but not by as much as everyone says. Even after I found this out I still would go out and buy the redmax.

We have 1 8000 and love it! i won't get any thing else. makes all are others look like toys

I think the difference between the power of the 7001 and the 8000 are noticiable but the 8000 is very heavy on a long clean up. Go with the 7001
