My truck is a gas luvin 454, the cool thing about this truck is that it has over-under drive transmission. That equates to 6 forward gears for pullin!!!

How much have you hauled with that truck? Just curious what type of mileage you are getting with that truck. I have the same truck just a few years newer and i will be pulling a trailer a Little bit smaller than yours for this next season and just wanted to get an idea of what millage i would be getting.

Who Makes it and how much did it set you back? I've been debating adding on to my garage or just buying a covered trailer.

thanks

Hey geno the make is CarMate. The trailer is 8x20, base price $5600, some reasons for this particular brand: 1 piece roof (no seams lifetime warranty) Floor has lifetime warranty as well (comes painted on both sides). The fit and finish is excellant ie. no seams covered by firring strips. This was my second trailer and there are differences in quality between brands. The trailer Ihave cost more than the base price because of options,Mags, screwless exterior, and Led light package. Maybe a little overkill as my wife says but it's just me tearing up my stuff.Oh also the floor is built 16'' oc. joist.

Thanks for the info.

Just out of curiosity how does a 20ft. trailer pull in and out of small subdivisions. Does your have vent for fumes? Do you think the gas mileage is alot worse than with the "standard" open trailers most of us use? Sorry for all the questions. thanks.

Good question, I was worried with my 16 ft. trailer for residential mainly getting in a situation of having to back out. being solo most of the time backing up was my biggest problem. Now with a 20 ft. the other situation is parking in front of some residential homes, blocking a mailbox (mailman hates that) or a driveway. I figure I'm 38 feet long from front to back. One thing for sure open or enclosed you need to swing wide to keep off curbs when making a turn with a trailer. Also mirror extensions are a help. The trailer has 3 vents one on roof and one on each side don't smell gas.
and speaking of gas my truck varies a little but not much it just loves gas.I recently hauled 4 atv's 4 people on a 20 ft. open trailer and got about the same mileage

Hey there Drbyrd its good to see someone else from the Manassas area on this site also. That is a really nice looking set up that you have there. Also a great addition with that Super Z.

Check out this thread. There is some of us from the VA area that are going to get together for lunch on Jan. 8th out in Warrenton.

DrByrd, that is a great looking rig you have. It looks like you have the trailer set up to handle all of your needs. Good luck...

Just curius what you did with your 16ft trailer?
LOng story short I thought I had it sold to a guy and all I had to do was wait for my new one to be built(3 month wait)that never happened, so about 2 weeks before the anticipated arrival of my new trailer I decided to put a for sale sign on the rear my 16 footer and went out to cut. Two hours later a guy pulls up to me at a light and wants me to pull over to look at it. 10 minutes later I sold it to him. Around here used trailers are rare, I got $300 less than what I paid for it 3 yrs. ago. Pleased!!!!
