I like the hat but i wouldn't want my customers to think im wearing a hat i ordered from a porn magazine. I would rather not have to explain. Then some might not ask and start thinking differently about me.

Your right about the porn part. They need to add in the word lawn mower or something.

Man, your heads are in the gutter. :)

My first thought of the word hustler was "hustle" The word my dad used every time he told me to do a chore.

Tomorrow Hustler will read this thread and respond. Or, go to http://www.turfmfg.com and ask them about it in their sponsored forum.

Chuck,

We established the Hustler brand name for our mowers back in 1965 when we were the first to introduce a commercial zero turn lawn mower. My father wanted to call it Hustler because it was the fastest way to cut grass. At the time the word hustler, like Chuck said, had a good meaning. I played a lot of sports and heard that word every day.

Because we are a Christian based company it was a real problem for us when the magazine got started. We even de-emphasized "Hustler" and used our corporate name Excel in the 80's and 90's.

In the last few years we decided to end the confusion between our mowers being sometimes called Excel and other times Hustler and go back to just "Hustler" as our brand name. Most of the time we use "Hustler Turf Equipment" on our wearables but because the new Hustler Z is one of the best mowers we have ever designed and built we wanted to have a special cap just for it.

After you go for your demo, if a cap with Hustler Z on it is a problem for you let us know and we will accomodate you with something else.

Well put Paul. :)
There have been a lot of words that have changed meanings from when I was young until now. I won't get into them all, but I'm sure you know what I mean.

At my age, I'm sure nobody would think of me as being anything other than a person wearing a cap that said Hustler on it. When I was younger and shot a lot of 8 ball, I was called a Hustler many times, even though I was just a person that enjoyed shooting pool. This is one word that can mean a lot of things and with the BIG Z on that cap, I don't see how it could be taken as anything bad.

Good luck with your products and I plan to check this new Z out.
Eric

That's a great looking hat! I think it's great you are going to hold to your name. Most times when I'm meeting with cutomers I wear my company clothes/hat. I'd love to have one of those for the down times away from mowing (trade shows)etc.
I probably won't though as the nearest dealer is 250 miles away!
