How effective are double blades on bermuda? I can understand how they would work on a grass like fescu, but is there really that much difference with bermuda?

It makes some difference. But the problem with Bermuda is when the little seed shoots are the only thing growing, double blades and double cutting will still not effect those little things. They will still be on top and looking bad. Mulching is the only way to go.

If the grass is producing seed you are waiting to long to cut it. Letting a grass plant produce seed wastes valuable carbohydrates that could be used for root and/or shoot growth.

Not true. In the summer if the grass is growing slower the seed shoots will come up in about 2 to 3 days. I have 1 acre of this in my lawn, that I cut about every 3 to 4 days.

Then you should cut it every 2 or 3 days if you want to maximize your root system and shoot growth.
