Equipment Life Expectancy

I am putting numbers together to determine the cost of doing business and how much I should charge per hour for my equipment. My question is, how many hours can I expect to get from my mowers before they are ready to trade or send to the dump. This is assuming that I don't want to rebuild them. I have a '99 Scag 52" WB with a 17KAW, and a 2000 Scag Turf Tiger 72" with a 25KOH. I also have a Honda 216 trim mower. If you guys have an idea about the 2-cycle stuff, all ECHO, that will be helpful as well. Do any of you guys use these kinds of figures to determine how much you need to charge, or am I doing this all wrong?

IN MY OPINION SOME EQUIP IS BUILT WITH BREAKDOWN
WEAR OUT PLANNED BY MANUFACTURE.
For equipment made to last indefinitly
theanswer to your question is how well do
you know (and do) maintenance.With new lubricants available and learning your machine a figure i would give
would sound unbelieveable.The flip side is this
takes time and some buisinesses would rather just
do necessary maintenance and plan on replaceing
every so often.This is the best cost effective
method for them.
