I saw a picture on here some time ago of a trailer that the front half was enclosed and the rear half was open. I can't remember where it was. I am going to build a new trailer this year and I am looking for ideas. Security and keeping stuff out of the weather are BIG concerns, but I also like the space of an open section. I am usually by myself (one ZTR, one 21", one walk behind blower, one backpack blower etc), but occasionally I have other guys helping me. What I would like to have is the capability to cary all of my equipment - with the majority of it out of the weather and then occasionally cary a second ZTR. Any pictures or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!

I do realize that a large enclosed trailer would pretty much suite my needs, but I just don't know for sure if that is what I want.

I had a trailer built like that -- this picture shows it before they reskinned it ot be black.

It has 3' removeable sides a ramp on the back and ramp on the enclosed front section. Has 14,0000 paylaod capacity.

Paid around 5k to have it built.

Jeff, that trailer has to be great to have. What do you keep in the enclosed section?

I carry small equipment, tools, plants and such. It allows me to keep all of my tools safe and secure and still have room to ahaul 10 yards or more of mulch?

Jeff and Metro, Thank both of you for replying!! I really like your trailers!! I hate to aggravate you, but do either one of you have a few more pictures-especially like the door / ramp systems. I hope to get the ball rolling on this very soon!!

Thanks,

Jay

It is a 18 foot trailer -- 6 foot box ont he front and 12' open in the rear.

4' Gate on the back. Sides are no really ramps, just removeable. By having them on hinges makes it easy to put them on and off.

I bought it from a palce in Greenwood Missouri, he arranged to have it made between his two suppliers. First the open part was amde and then enclosed part attached. I could get more info if you wanted it.

nope -- didn't take any this Fall --- too busy using it I guess.

I do have to do some repair work -- some moron pulled away without latching the side door and it flew open while going down the road and bent it up. Have to straighten it out and re-skin the the door. No biggie though --- I hope.

Plan on using etrack on the inside to add racks and such. Mainly used it this Fall for mulch, seeding and hauling lots and lots of trees away after an ice storm.
