View Full Version : Roto / Drop spreader - Any advantage?

Iím looking into purchasing a new spreader and considering the Lesco Roto/Drop spreader instead of their standard 80-lb Rotary spreader. Almost all of the properties Iím working have 3 to 4 feet strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street and Iím thinking this might be an efficient way to handle it with only one spreader.
Is it worth the extra $100 bucks to have the drop spreader right on the back of my rotary spreader? Do they function well? Should I just get a small handheld spreader for these small areas? All my lawns are less than 10,000 sq. feet so anything above a push spreader is just not cost effective right now.

Thanks,
Mike
