Frontier-Lawn,

I took a look for scarb wasp and came up with the Black Flower Wasp.
Heres a picture of the wasp and the Scarab Beetle Grub.
Do they look familiar?

The Pest Management solution states just ignore them

We have a product where I am called Pounce. It takes care of wasps.

POUNCE EC is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide of low mammalian toxicity
It is a stomach and contact insecticide with no systemic or fumigant effect

Looks similar to the yellowjackets we have here.

Did you see a nest, wood/paper type in the plant?

Their Back!

Dave

Hope you are getting this much needed Rain Today. I don't have to tell you what a PITA the wild fires and burned up lawns are.

I am bad with pictures for some reason but, I believe you have Cicada Killers. They are a type of wasp that lays it's eggs inside a Cicada and bury them about 10 inches deep in the soil. They are back because the Egg is almost impossible to kill or control. The best control for you is a aerosol can of flying insect insecticide from the super market. Cheap and effective, just spray the plant and all the Cicada Killers with it. Aerosol Wasp Spray might even be better, but the can is normally high pressure and shoots a long stream. In any case a general broad spectrum Insecticide will control them.
