Me and my helper build some selfs, I really like the weed wacker on selfs instead of getting beat up on the other racks.

what kind of trailer do you have? how big is it? how many mowers do you put in there?

i like your shelves, they look very well built.

Very nice setup. Very impressed with the shelves. How many mowers can you fit in the 16' comfortably? payup

Its 8.5 by 16 I can put the 21" and reel mower in the front and a 42" Walker and 48" walkbehind with bull rider in the rest of the area. With the big mowers, one has to go in forward first and other one backwards, they almost fit side by side, both pretty much over the axles, It work out good.

I build the racks because the Walker mower would slide side ways sometimes if the floor was dirty and it bent my hedge trimmers, and the shafts were getting messed up from bouncing around.

Nice work ,but how do you keep the trimmers from bouncing off the shelves? Do you bungee them? I bet you saved a bunch by making your own.

The trimmers are getting royal treatment with their own shelves.

That has to be one of the most organized trailers I have ever seen.Looks great.yeah that's an excellent work area!

but, that's cheating, having a trailer so big. want to come over and do that for me on a 6x12? :) more challenging.
what was the weight of the trimmer racks? i was going to go PVC for the weight reasons.

Adam, I had my old 6x12 set up pretty close to the same, but with the selfs closer. On the old one it was all wood and wire shelfs from OSH. The latter rack by the roof saves room. If you make selfs a little wider and longer you can get 2 weed wacker on one self, I just didnt want them hanging out any further than the wheelwells, so I dont loose floor space.

Very neat, excellent set up and well done project. If you don't mind I intend to "borrow" a few of your ideas. Thanks for posting the pictures.

What's the aluminum probe with bottle?

lpwhandyman,
I believe that is a probe to apply poison for ground moles.

looks ok.. just think its a bit overkill.. you dont need all that extra steel..its extra weight.. i just used roof jacks.. and they hold without bungees.. light weight too.. ps.. looks like you need some paint in there.
