What would be best for dyke mowing? How about for blackberry bushes? I am looking at taking a contract and not sure what would be the best set-up. Does one brand stand out as being more reliable?
Any Help you guys could offer would be great.
Thanks

I have two friends that have Aebi tractors with flail mowers out frount. One specializes in dyks and dams mowing, the other does brush hogging type work. The Aebi's do a very nice job.

A flail mower is much slower than a rotary cutter, as you have to use a real slow ground speed. The best thing about a flail mower, is that you can hit all kinds of trash buried in the weeds, and you will not tear it up, as you would if the rotary blade hits an object. Also, you get a nicer cut from a flail mower than you will from a brushog, IF, you go SLOW.
