After spending half a day trying to get my 940 form to come out right and buying and printing w-2s to find out they have too small of font to be legal. I have just upgraded to quickbooks 2001 and was considering signing up for their deluxe payroll service it looks like about $35 per mo. I would print the checks at my office then they would make all
payroll deposits and file all forms including w-2s
anybody using this now?

One unseen cost will be that they will have your money to use until the tax payment is due. You can bet they will make electronic payment at last possible day. You can do that yourself using the IRS's EFTPS. But if you are just looking to escape paperwork, the price might be cheap.

Contact ADP in East Hartford for payroll services.

I think they debit your business checking acct. as they make
the payment but I will ask that when a Quickbooks rep calls.
they also offer direct deposit for a few bucks extra.
I have 2-3 full-time employees and send out about 6 w-2s
Thats a good question and I will find out.
