Hey everyone, just wondering what associations everyone belongs to. Thinking of joining a local one, called CT nursery and Landscape Association. i like the fact that its local and more specific to my area, but I know they dont have the force behind them like ALCA. Any thoughts on this? Thanks Rick

We belong to the IAHP "International Association of Hydroseeding Professionals.
Also the MGIA "Michigan Green Industry Association"

And two Chambers of Commerce

We may join a home builders association to hook up with our Hydroseeding biz.

I am Going to Landscape Ontarios Eastern Chapter Meeting on Mar9/05 in Napanne.

I see Jeff Knows about them. Any others a member of this organization in Ontario?

I would tend to question what you get for your money as well, or is this a type of thing just so that in our advertisements we can put "Member of OAN" or "Member of FLNA Since 1895"? That at least sounds impressive, but whether you get anything of value out of the association could be debated. Right?

I have been debating this for years, whether it is worth it or not to join these organizations? At $200 -$300 a piece it adds up quick.
