Torsion Spring Ramp assist

Can ANybody give me info on a torsion spring ramp assist.

I have a trailer witha 5' heavy duty ramp -- It is VERY heavy. I had it built heavy duty enough to load skidsteers onto --- but I aht lifting it. I cannot use normal garage door spring assit because of removeable sides.

ANy guidance - pics -- expereince -- designs -- would be helpful!

Try a truck parts supplier. You should find a marked differance in the wight of your ramp after installation. I have seen some torsion spring setups that actually held the ramp just off the ground.

One end of the sping sits against the ramp & the other in a pocket below the hinge.
