Used to plow with a Mitsubishi FG with a 9.5 V Fisher. I liked it but I am just too damned hard on equipment and I was going through pins and edges like crazy. Also hated replacing the rubber in the vee as I did quite a few parking lots back then.

What truck do you have the blade on ?

I Have A 2005 Gmc 2500hd Ext. Cab. Short Bed. I Like The Plow So Far. I Have A 1997 Gmc 1500 Reg Cab Short Bed With A 7.5' Fisher Blade And I Think That Truck Plows Awsome.

A ton of uncertainties for the storm at the beginning of the week. They are all offering different equations for the storm which is a safe bet on their part.

The last one was nice and light, easy on the trucks which I like.

Quite a bit of turf damage around out there though, going to be lots of spot seeding come spring. DOH !

minerapex
02-27-2005, 07:34 AM
Spot seeding? Some people are going to need a full front lawn seeded! I'll be seeding one.

We have a DTN weather satellite station at our shop. Updates every 15 minutes. It is great all year. In the winter you can watch snowstorms develop and in the summer, you can see when the rain is coming, even those "pop up thunderstorms". It is awesome! :cool2:

I'm preparing my bids for a couple condos and some need fert and grub killer, broadleaf killer and so on. It's not good timing with the snow coming because the bids have to be in by march 15th and I won't be able to see the ground by then :realmad: Any chance you could quote me on one place? Its rather straight foward and not big. PM me if your interested.
Thanks

Yup, seems like they are unsure about our region and are saying that we could end up with " 4 more " than forecasted.

I will be glad when this is all done too. Lots of rest in between everything, but it's super taxing on equipment/trucks!

Drive safe

I would say we got a good 5-7" on the coast. Man was it heavy.

Lawnchoice
03-09-2005, 02:27 PM
So heavy with the rain on the ground before the snow hit.

Yeah I would say around 7 but some of the drifts were a killer.

Double bill ! Hah.

03-09-2005, 03:39 PM
Yea double bill. I plowed last night at this womens house (@10:00) and did some more and went home. Well I got up this morning and went out again and went past her house and the snow drifts went right across her drive. Well being that I was there and it was full of snow, I plowed her out again. I get this call @noon time and it was her saying that the snow did not fall today and told me she was not going to pay for the last one. I just wanted to go back and plow a heap of snow on her driveway. But I really hope that there is a storm on Fri. :p Boy ol' boy sure hope I dont forget her then :p
