As some of you know I am looking for a new business name, in the poll there are a few that I have come up and have been mentioned to me that are not used in either state I am doing business in. Keep in mind I cannot use the term landscaping or landscape services in the name. Any comments are appreciated, and welcomed.

Thanks, Scott

turf dancer or northstar lawncare. turf dancer seems more eye-grabbing and northstar lawncare sounds more professional IMO.

if it takes this much effort for you to come up with a name,,,,how do you function the rest of the time?

a name means nothing,,,,,until you have made a good or bad reputation for yourself!

progressive lawn care,,,,,now did it take you 3 months to dream up that name?

mcdonalds......how long do you think it took them to come up with that name?

kentucky fried chicken,,,,,how many years do you think they agonised over that name?

WALmart is one of the largest companys in the world,,,,,it took him about 2 minutes to come up with that name!

now if you want to be a DUMA$$ and show you know NOTHING about marketing then keep on posting stupidity,,,,,mr. progressive!

if it takes this much effort for you to come up with a name,,,,how do you function the rest of the time? Why do you make a personal attack on a guy when all he did was pose a question on which name other's like better.......mrs. norm al?

I guess it depends on what your image is.
Northstar says to me a very professional company with a lot of knowledge, a company you can rely on and a larger company.
Turf Dancer says creative, cute, a name people will remember ( much more so than Northstar ) and a lawn maintenance company.

I don't think I would use Turf Dancer if I was doing major lawn instillations, irrigation or fertilizing as my main work but if the company is built on lawn maintenance I think it's a keeper.

When I hear Turf Dancer, I see images of men wearing tights with wild hair and make-up in my front yard pushing around lawn mowers to the "Sound of Music" soundtrack. I'm not trying to bash your idea, just giving my honest opinion.

So, why can't you use landscaping in your name?

I would go with "North Star Property Services".
