Gurus got a tech question for ya

OK computer gurus.....

Got a question for ya. I CONSTANTLY have my ZoneAlarm pop up with a message saying that a computer (gives a number) has tried to access my computer but as always ZoneAlarm blocks it like it should. BUT...it's always the same number.....probably 15 times per day.

If I post the number the next time....can somebody track it down for me? I am not trying to stop it, ZoneAlarm is doing that...just curious about what is going on and where it is coming from.

merlin, pm me the number (ip address) that pops up, as well as what port it's trying to access. i think zone alarm tells you the port being victimized.

odds are, it's a hacker running a sniffer looking to access your system.

edit:
do you have the zone alarm log files that show the hits? if you do, pm me the excerpt and it can be quickly narrowed down. the guy trying to do it might be harmless provided you have anti-virus software and might only be looking to activate some form of backdoor/trojan virus.
