I picked up this roller on ebay back in september for 300 bucks. Decided to paint it this week and here are some before and after shots. Heres a Before

Crafted up these tarps to keep the heat in because it is pretty cold arround here. It worked great..except the rest of the garage was cold.

Is that thing peddle powered? I didn't see a motor. :)

Looks like a brutus roller.....We have a couple of those for clay tennis court construction and maintenance. What are you planning to use it for? It only weigh 500 empty and 1100lbs when you fill the drums up with water. We only use it cause we need light rollers to maintain loose compaction on the clay courts.

I took the motor off inorder to paint it, It is a 5hp honda. I am planning to use it to roll lawns. To get all the bumps out and such. I beleive that it is just a northeast thing to do. Everyone and their brother wants it done up here though.

we sub out a lot of our sod jobs to the the local sod farms they both use one of those to roll thier sod after it's laid.

If anybody is interested in one of those rollers I have two of those brutus rollers just like the one pictured for sale....One is just as old as that one in the picture and the other is still pretty new. I also have a 48" split tandem version which has one drum up front and two split drums in the rear for sale. I'm keeping the 5foot roller its a sweet unit..
