I guess I am a sucker for a good deal. I was at our Bobcat Dealer on Friday picking up a MT52 for a song. As everything was loaded on the trailer when I mentioned mowers and needing a different trailer configuration for more space. The BC dealer mentioned that his boss was driving through and dropped off a pair of demo mowers and told him to get rid of them. They are a multi state dealer so I thought... what kind of junk is this. We walk back to see them and there sits two Great Dane mowers. A Hydro 36" WB (22 hours) and a 48" Super Surfer (36 hours).

The dealer looks at me and tells me that he is just suppose to get rid of them. I look at the price on them and say is this right? Yea.... that's it. Selling them at cost. I look at the hours and hand him my credit card and say OK. So on Monday I have to go back and pick them up since I did not have room on the trailer for them with the Bobcat.

I really don't need them.... but you never know. I may want to expand again in the future.......

Oh yea.... the WB was $2069.00 and the SS was $4030.00.

That walk behind bobcat handles that auger? Auger looks huge compared to machine

Believe it or not it works great. I dug 27 holes with a 30" aguer today and it worked without a problem. One of the holes I burried the thing just to see what it would do.

Brian, Nice deal on the MT52 package. I am looking into the DW SK 500, and with the bucket only, it is around 14K for a demo unit. Hey, you never know when those mowers might come in handy...there's something to be said about being in the right place at the right time....congrats!

Sweet machines! All of them- Bobcat (wow) JD (its pretty anyway) GD's (great deals).
can't beat the Kawi on the w/b, those good old 14hp's were just awesome. Gobs of torque for a single cylinder, should have loads of power on that mower. Like those controls, should be really nice. Does the bagger fit the SS too? That would be nice. Why did you get the JD rider if its only 6" wider than the SS? Doesn't totally make sense to me, seems you'd have got like a 60". Oh well, good luck and nice toys!

Actually I had the JD before I stumbled on the GD's. The only reason I picked up the GD's was the price.

I have a feeling that your Dec buyer will soon be upset that he did not make you sign a no compete.

The non-compete only addresses commercial accounts. It doesn't mention residential and governmental business.

As my attorney said.... it is not my responsibility to tell them of their errors.... :p

Their biggest error.... letting me keep the name and phone number. It rings off the hook.

Got that right--and they had a attorney, right? Write his name down as someone you do not want to use.
