What do you think it is worth? No idea of the year but looks good and has been well maintained. Comes with gravley sulkys, 16 i/c horse power eng, and grass catcher.
He is asking $700
Should I buy?

I have a '94 Pro 50 I bought around '96 for $2500. Hydro with 20 Hp Kohler. It has been a beast of a mower, and has served me well. A caution on the old Hydros - their lever system was too stiff and left alot to be desired. I modified mine when I started using it commercially so that it wasn't so tiresome - by lessening the tension on the spring. I have replaced the starter and the shaft on the R hydro motor. The frame and components have proven to be very good quality. I was convinced so we purchased the new 36" with the 15 Kaw, and so far, I am even more pleased with it.
The 17 Hp will be underpowered for most mulching conditions, but otherwise should do fine for you. Make sure to start the mower when it is stone cold. If hard starting or lots of smoke, be very cautious.

I really have no idea about them. I don't even know if they are hydro.
They are up on ebay in my area. Take a look and let me know if you would buy.
I was thinking about buying both and selling one.

them or not?

I am not a fan of the Gravely 50" deck. Our grass grows big and bad here in Maryland (especially crabgrass) and my 50" Gravely would just make an awful mess of it. Those mowers are very old and have likely seen a lot of use. Things to look at before you buy them is all of the clutch linkage, the belts, wheel bearings (especially the front), spindle bearings, trueness of the wheel pullies and jackshaft couplers.
If it were me I would not buy them.

those numbers don't look good.
almost 7 days into a 10 day listing and bid is only $102.
apparently no one likes the looks of those units.
but they may be worth $700 apiece. but I'd pass.
personally, I can't stand a unit with the gear
shifter on top.

I am a Gravely dealer, and personally, I do not care for those mowers. The deck had cutting quality problems that Gravely never did address. They were built pretty tough and last a long time, but I just do not like the cut.
If you can pick one up, in good condition, for under $500.00, it might be worth it. I would not spend more than that. Oh, parts are still available from the factory.
