Thanks for the compliment. I also have a 59, W300M Power Wagon awaiting restoration. My son has a 69, W200 stepside that we are currently working on. I love those old Dodge 4x4's. They were tough trucks.

Those are the new American Racing Teflon Mojave 20 inches..... They are pretty sweet and easy as heck to maintain... one swish of the sponge and they are clean, nothing really sticks.... I guess the only thing that could suck are scratches..... I havent seen any touch up for the teflon....

I got mine off ebay from Rons Rimms.... The are 20x12 8 lugs.. they cost 695 for 4... everyplace else i looked online they were 250 a piece. For 6 lug and smaller diameters they are a little cheaper

mownredneck

That looks great all you need now is some mud grips. How much and what does to kit include?, shocks, or the leaf spring spacers?

fishinman22487

mownredneck-
My lift kit was about $130, the kit had just the body spacers and all the extension bolts you need.
I ordered the kit from
www.performanceaccessories.com
A guy in my town installed it, he does a lot of trucks around here, here is his website www.aggressiveoffroad.com
So what kinda equipment are you runnin?

03-07-2005, 12:22 AM
Not a truck but it gets the job done. I don't have a need for a truck in my line of business. I hope to get a lift on it some time soon.

Nice trucks lawn perfection. What brand lift is on the tan std. cab? How many inches? How does it ride?

lawn perfection
03-09-2005, 09:57 AM
The Tan truck has a Skyjacker 6in, springs front and rear "no blocks" 16.5 x12 weld typhoon's and 35in B.F.G.'S. The ride is great, to me it rides better than stock. The crew cab has a 2in leveling kit on it and 295 B.F.G.'S

This is a really old picture of a truck I had in my younger years. Thirteen inches of lift in the days before lift kits were mass produced. I bent individual leaves in a press to make the lift. It was a long bed when I got it, I cut the frame and put the short stepside on it. 454 with aluminum intake, Holley double pump, accel dual point, medium cam, turbo 400 trans with shift kit, 4.88 gears detroit lockers front and back. I cut the knuckles off the front axle so I could rotate the pinion up for a better driveshaft angle then welded them back on at an alignment shop so the caster and camber would be right. There are a zillion other things I had to do to make every thing work but I dont have enough room here to list them all.

I almost forgot, the original post on this thread asked for pictures of 4X4s with big mudders. They were Gumbo Monster Mudders 40 inches tall. I had to put two universal joints in the steering shaft because the body lift I made caused the steering column and gear box to be out of alignment. I popped the u joints out of the front drive shaft and ground all the edges of the yokes down so the driveshaft would flex more. I bought the body one piece at a time from different places to find clean rust free part then stripped them all to bare metal and painted then clearcoated them all. Then I rummaged through many salvage yards looking for all the correct factory chrome. This was all back in the days before reproduction parts were invented. It makes me shudder to think of all the time I put into this and many many other projects like this one. Ah to be 22 again

helped my friend build this truck, dana 60 rear dana 44 front locker in rear spool in front, slightly built 350 and a built proof manual trans, 35x16 boggers it would go where guys with 44's wouldn't make it, great truck but he sold it, he's building an s10 with straight axles now. this pic was after first time we took it out, it would throw mud balls the size of softballs haha

mownredneck, I assembled the truck from several different donors, it was mostly a 72 but had a mix of parts. The exhaust was headers with large diameter for the time duals with high flow mufflers. At the mud bogs I would take the mufflers off to make more noise. Sadly I do not own it anymore. Sold it back in 1988 to save for a house.
