Is it to late to get a license to do work in north carolina.I've been reading a lot about it but i never see anything that says you have to have a license to do Landscaping.I know you probably do but, everything that i read is like 10 pages long and seems like you kind of have to read between the lines as far as licenseing. Can anyone give me some info. Thanks Chuck
I know you have to be a licensed landscape contractor if you use the words "Landscape Contractor" in your business advertisements but I don't think you have to have any licensing to do landscaping. You will need a pesticide applicators license though if you apply any kind of chemicals(Round-up, fertilizer, weed control, pest control, etc.) Check with NC dept, of AG. Pestcide Division, or

CNE is correct. You only need a license if your advertising as a "Contractor"
You can advertise for Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping as long as you don't use the "C" word. You DO need a license to apply any type of chemical.
