Where to dump RR ties in MD ?

I have a job to rip out around 30 old railroad ties . Any ideas where to dump them . Carroll county dump charges $55 a ton !!!!!!! Thanks Forum

how big are they? what do you estimate the weight of each one to weight?

could you sell them to a paper mill? ive heard of people hiring paper companies to clear small tree on their property..... i dont know if that would really work, but its an idea

what if you found someone w. a big wood chipper, like one of the ones asphulndi (sp) uses?
