I've heard about them. But never actually known anyone who has one. They're avaible from speed shops. What it is is a computer that controls the spark advance, fuel metering, etc. on a vehicle with fuel injection. I had to replace the computer on an 87 Ranger I owned once and the darn thing cost over $500 from Ford. Talk about maintenance free...

You may get a better response on one of the truck forums. What type of truck do you have?

I have a SuperChip 50/100 chip. The additional power is amazing. Pyro temp increases are slightly higher, boost pressure on full throttle went from 12 psi to 22 psi, and fuel mileage is slightly better (around 1mpg). No problems to date. [b]Just make sure if you buy a chip replace the air filter with an Amsoil or K&N!!
