Can you guys give me some help on coming up with a ballpark price to cut this property? I ever had to give a price on a property this large.

7.8 Acres to be cut
all flat
1350 feet of edging
1 hour Trimming
10 large trees

Will be using a 61" Z Scag

Thanks

get a ballpark figure on how many hours you'll be there. I figure you need to charge 85.00 an hour to be profitable.

Just Bid On A 5 Acre Commercail Account Here. Bid $200 To Mow And Trim, Figured About 2 1/2 Mowing And Trim Time, May Be A Bit High. Shouldnt Really Be A Lot Of Trim, Going To Spray Fence Lines And Around The Building.

Come on 7.8 acres $600 what will that take to do by yourself 3 hrs. Is it a commercial property what is it. Iam assuming it is wide open with no obstacles since you said only 10 trees.

I have a job almost the exact smae size and I charge $400, about 20 trees, and 1.75 hrs. trimming.

You should be able to mow 2 acres per hour with that mower. That's 4 hours for mowing plus 1 hour trimming. If you price it at the "standard" $60 per hour figure you get $300 total.

Well maybe out there in the Sticks of Mayberry, your price would be a lot cheaper. Where Rod is (North Jersey) not too far from NYC, the cost of living and everything else is a lot higher. It all depends on demographics and what your market will bear.

Take a seat son and maybe you'll learn a little something from a man who has been around for quite some time. He's probably benn in this business longer than you've been out of diapers.

Nah, but thanks for the compliment, I appeciate it...I just call like it is and do this for a full time living unlike some. Guys like me and Turfude and a host of others let those kinds of comments roll off our back like it was water and we were ducks LOL
