View Full Version : Jacobsen HR-15 weight? (need to haul)

I bought a Jacobsen HR-15 out of state. I need to go get it next weekend. Not sure which trailer to take based on its weight as I have a standard car trailer with 6 bolt axles or a heavy duty car trailer with 8 bolt axles. Anyone know what one of these things weigh?

Boy, it's been a while since I've operated a 15. They are rather heavy, with all the reels. I'd take the heavy duty trailer just to be on the safe side.

I don't know exactly what a HR-15 is but mayby you could compare it to some of the stuff on the Jake site. I see a HR 5111 weighs around 3300#. But I would always take the heavier of the two because that is my luck to bring a lighter one then wonder why I just didn't go to the max.

According to our manual the transport weight is 6400lbs. (Approximate). Probably depends on the cutting units, rather they be rotary or flail. Our manual is for the HR-15 model 70520 serial # 1742 & up. Ours has the Perkins diesel engine.
Hope this helps.

This is perfect. Thanks for the feedback. I will take the big trailer.

Any chance I could get a copy of the wiring diagram if you would have one in that manual? I dont have a pressing issue but will be glad to have it if something electrical starts to happen. Also, does anyone know a generic Goodyear or Gates belt # for the decks? I want to have one on hand for the time when I need it.
