Hi, my name is Mark.

I'm a landscaper from NH. There is so much snow in my yard, I don't have anywhere left to put it. The snow is so high on both sides of my walkway, I can't even shovel it over the piles anymore. There is no less than 3' of snow at any given area on my deck. We may not see green grass until May, and I don't offer snow plowing services.

I'm an idiot.

It's never too late to start planning for next year..but then again, it may be 70 degrees thru December next year, or it may snow every day from November thru May...you never can tell. I have enjoyed my winter off :D

Mark, I may join you at those IA meetings...do they give out the colored chips still, you know, a red chip for 30 days idiocy free, blue for 90 days, etc.

My idiot move for the day, Sunday morning I was emptying the dishwasher. Put the basket with utensils on the edge of the kitchen counter. Before I go further, let me explain, my wife has always insisted on the knives going in "blade up" (they clean better she says). Of course, I pull some spoons out, the basket starts to fall, I fling my left hand at it in a feeble attempt to keep it off the floor. Next thing you know I got a Ginzu knife imbedded in my palm. 5/8" into my hand. 5/8" doesn't seem bad, till you look at a ruler and imagine a knife in you skin that far.

Didn't bleed too badly, think I'm alright, just a little tender.

Hello my name is Bull, I to am an IDIOT! After much consideration I have decided to work through this season as a solo and not hire anyone yet I have a hard time turning down work   . I don't know what to do, my wife is all over me, she wants me to work less but yet she wants to build a house next year, no time for fishing, the list of things to do grows longer each day   , I love you guys and thanks for being here for me. Wow you do feel better when you let it all out.

Mark- Buying a truck and plow this season is a sure-fire way to get a nice, warm, snowless winter next year. It happened to me!

I'll admit the last 2 or 3 years have been good for snow plowing Mark...if nothing more, I do it to get the hell out of the house once in awhile. And the $$$ ain't too shabby either. :D

I have been plowing snow all (#*$(&$*@^((@*$)@(*#()&^&^$*^@&)(#$*@(*()&**(&*$(*@&

winter. There is more snow than I can explain. I want this ()Q$@&)($@*()&*(@&#*(@&#(*&&)(@*(*@# snow to stop as I need to see my lawn to keep my sanity.

But the money is good :)

The best thing you can do is plan for the change of season's, I would be screwed if I didn't plow for the winter! sometimes the winters are good some bad we could only do the best we can with what we have.

Mark, are you full time? I seem to remember you posting something about having another job. Maybe if you plowed, you could lose that other job. The money's good, but the hours suck.

Snow Plowing is good money.
For all of you guys that don't do it, I don't know how you survive.
As for seeing green grass it's gonna be a while.
Want to really get depressed look at video of some equipment.
Just the other day I popped the Perma Green CD into my computer and saw nothing but green grass for like 10 mins. It was to say the least VERY DEPRESSING...

No, I'm not f/t Mike. But my f/t job the hours suck, and the money does too  .

I fought with the decision this summer to plow or not, and decided I would keep my job for at least one more winter. I didn't want to go after the plowing, because I travel I felt it would be too hard to manage even if I hired someone to plow. Prolly shoulda quit and bought a plow.

I guess I've made a partial commitment to next year. My wife said I should add snow plowing and snow removal to my postcards. I said why the hell do that now, everyone is thinking spring and she said cuz everyone is pissed at their plow guy right now :D

oh well, at least i'm coming to terms with my idiocy

It could be worse I haven't stop cutting this winter. I need a break. I can't even go joging with my shirrt on its too hot down here. You guys need to pick up some good winter hobbies ski\snowboarding iceclimbing, snowmobiling. The grass is always greener.

For once I can agree with Bobbyg. If I could I would get out of snow. Yes the money is good but the hours aren't and it makes it hard to go on vacation.

Mark, I hate to bring this up....but in addition to cutting grass this week, we have a trailer LOAD of Pine Needles (Pinestraw in the South) to get out and a complete lawn renovation to do.
