I have an older bed edger that needs new bearings on the drive shaft. Does anyone know what size bearings these things use.

Pull the bearing(s) out. On the sides will be a number. It's usually on the plastic or metal shield (some are etched on the curcumference). That number can be crossreferenced by any bearing shop. Stock metric bearings will have a number like: 60nn or 62nn. Inch bearings will have an Rnn. There's a lot of bearing manufactures and they all have their own number system but they all put their numbers on the bearing. Any bearing supplier can match them.

I ended up taking the bearings to Napa also. The bearings were so old the numbers had worn off. I had to cut the inner race off the shaft on the bearing that sits closest to the cutting head. Its a great machine to use now that the vibrations are gone.
