Please take a look at this image and tell me what you think it may be.

The picture is a little tough, but it looks to me like an Inkberry (Ilex glabra), maybe "Shamrock" or "Nordica" variety as it appears very glossy in the photo.
How big is it and do you have any other photos?

Maybe a boxwood?

Looks to glossy for Buxus though I would say...

Here's are two other images. Not sure if this will help. In New Orleans they typically grown very low (height never exceeds 3-3.5 feet) and are often trimmed to resemble a small Christmas tree.

they're definately of the buxus species. Sempervirens (spg) perhaps.

if the leaves are opposite it is a boxus...if they are alternate it is an ilex.
hard to tell the exact species from the pix.

The leaves look to small for I. glabra. If it is an Ilex, I think it is more likely a crenata variety.

Possibly Myrsine africanus- African boxwood. Photo is too out of focus

Looks like a green mountain Boxwood.
they are usualy trimmed conical
