View Full Version : Its either the pink truck or me

Every single estimate I have done within the past couple of weeks where the customer is home has hired me. I have consistently been higher priced than their current or previous provider but I am still getting the jobs.
It is very clear that most of the lawn care companies in town do not know what the heck they are doing. Any customer that has an opportunity to interview me know that their lawn is finally going to be in good hands.
Either that or they just want to be the first one in the neighborhood with the pink lawn care truck in front of their house.
Whatever it is... I sure hope this trend continues.

I have seen Trump wear a pink tie several times. Maybe there is something about the color pink that sets folks at ease. I would be interested to know what type of response you would get with fliers on pink paper.

All of my fliers are on either pink or yellow paper. The pink seems to get about a 1/2% +/- or more better response when all else is the same. My response rate ranges from .75% to 1.5% (about average for fliers in this area)

Discovery, what color are your uniforms...
The pink is a great idea, I'm sure a lot of people notice it. As far as Trump with the pink tie, once he started to wear them some of the "job candidates" on The Apprentice started wearing them as well. Trying to score some brownie points (or are they pinky points?)

i think you're half-azzing it if you don't throw on some sweet, pink sansabelt pants.
david, how did you distribute your flyers? i haven't seen one hit my hood yet, but then again, somehow i've not seen your van yet. i've got 20k inserts going out over the next week and a half.

Tony, last year I hired a guy to distribute fliers to the door of homes in 45458, 45459, 45424, 45429 and 45440. We distributed to select neighborhoods around existing clients.
Also, lets get together for lunch one of these days. I would like to run some ideas by you.

I went back and edited out the "tour" offer but you had already quoted it. After I posted it, I did not like the way it looked.
Damn, this just keeping worse ...Oh well.
