New Customer New Problems

Just picked up a new customer yesterday. Client is near 3 other customers so we couldn't pass them up. Upon reviewing the contract with them and taking a walkthru of their yard the home owner mentioned that last year their lawn started great, but then weeds took over. They used a service for fertilizer and weed control, but they said it didn't help. My normal program is 1. spring fertilizer 2. fertilizer and broad leaf control 3. grub control 4-6. 3 more fertilizer applications.

Should I adjust my program early in the year?

1. Where is your pre-emergent for crabgrass?

2. Is your 2nd app the only time you plan to apply BWC?

You may want to consider a spring and fall broadleaf weed control. The best control is achieved in the fall...at least in my neck of the woods.

I agree with a weed control in the fall, but I didn't have this lawn last year. I am thinking of adding a weed control a bit earlier than I usually do.
