I saw your post from a year ago and was wondering if you had someone you were sending the clients to that you did not want to take on. I deal with the same area as you. If you would let me know one way or another. You can send me an email to BLA449@cox.net Thanks Brandon

      Jason,

The guy who developed my website also developed our logo. I can give you his information. You can probably take a picture of my logo to a graphic designer and they can replicate it. I don't mind you using my logo as a "proof", but I can't send you a file of it, I paid to much money for it just to hand it out.

Todd, I really appreciate you getting back to me and for your willingness to allow me to use your name, slogan, etc. I have not contacted my county clerk's office to see if the name is available, but I have looked in the Yellow Pages and other resources and have not found anyone to be using it in my county or counties I will service.

Like I said before, I know I could have just "borrowed" your name and slogan, but I wouldn't have felt good about doing that. I want to make sure this business succeeds and the only way I can imagine it working is if I'm honest to myself and honest to those around me.

I've checked out some of the other websites for "Barefoot" companies out there and none of them come close to comparing with yours. Who designed yours? Was it the same people who came up with your logo? Speaking of your logo, is that something that you are willing to let me use as well or would you prefer I came up with my own?

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Barefoot, my name is Jason and I am located in SW Michigan. I am currently working in corporate America, but am hoping to start a lawn care/landcape company for the '09 season. I came across your name and website while reading through a thread and let me tell you, I am extremely impressed with the image you have portrayed about your company. Your name, logo, and slogan are extremely catchy and easy to remember. Your website is top notch and really shows customers that you "mean business." Right now I am in the process of putting a business plan together along with trying to come up with a name, logo, and slogan. I know that it's not illegal to copy names, slogans, etc. if there are no copyrights on them, but just because it's not illegal doesn't make it okay to do. I want to operate this new business with the utmost integrity and I don't ever want to feel like I slighted someone in the process. I know this may be a strange question, but I'm going to lay it out there and see what happens.. What are your thoughts of me using your name, logo, slogan, etc. for my business in Michigan?
