The factory recommends 10 and 12, but you can go as low as 8. As far as the jerkiness when going downhill, it might just be the operation of the 5400, but there is a small chance you could have some air bubbles in you system, and they only bubble when the fluid is tilted that way. When you change your hydro fluid the first time, make sure you keep the air release open when feeling them back up, and there is a chance you might fix your issue. If the jerkiness is on and off, that might be the case, but so far of a chance prolly not worth messing with until your first fluid change.... lmk. I will take my Outlaw up to the overpass this week sometime and play on it to see if I get the same results (the overpass is the only hill we have....lol)

I only have 3 hrs on it so far. the deck was setup pretty good level side to side and 3/8 lower in front. It cuts real pretty. I guess the hydro issue is just something I will have to get use to. What tire pressure are you running?

I noticed that more at first than I do now. I generally roll over a hill with my speed set and let it hold the speed back all the way down. If I try to slow down then I notice the jerkiness you speak about more. I've got 110 hrs on mine and if I get in a hurry it will jerk a little. Straight down a hill is the easiest going down at a angle takes more effort to keep it straight. I think it gets better as you put more time on it I hardly even think about it now. But I will warn you that going up steep hills I carry a rag for the fuel tanks when full they will leak out the ventcap I reach back and wipe them so it doesn't get on my tires. Bad Boy is working on this problem. The smoother you are the less they leak. How many hrs do you have on yours? Make sure you change the hydros at 50 hrs the first time . If you have any questions feel free to ask. How is the cut? My pitch was off when I got mine so the cut was bad until I changed it.
