Thank's saw n mow I'm trying to decide between the ariens zoom zt xl54 and the badboy mz.
No scalping unless I'm mowing on real uneven ground (unseen holes, some ditches). I live in the country and my yard, and the other yards that I mow don't have real quality grass, but I do get a nice cut. I do have to slow down if I let the grass get to long, in which case a commercial mower might be able to cut faster leaving the same quality of cut. I do have my deck pitched 1/4", as I've read is recommended. The blades have the high tip speed of the commercial mowers (approx. 18,500 fpm), which does help with cut quality. Hope this helps.
